What is TISAX® and why is it important?
TISAX® TISAX stands for Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange and is a registered trademark of the ENX Association. It is a security standard for the automotive industry—originally initiated by the Association of the German Automotive Industry (VDA)—that is intended to help increase information security in the industry.® serves to verify and certify the information security of companies. After successful verification, companies receive a TISAX® label, which strengthens the trust of customers and partners and can serve as a competitive advantage.
Who needs a TISAX® Certification?
For TISAX certification® There is no legal requirement yet. However, there is an unofficial requirement to be/remain competitive in the industry. Many OEMs now require a TISAX label for collaboration with suppliers or partners.®If you are a supplier, partner, or manufacturer in the automotive industry, it is therefore advisable to get certified to increase your business opportunities.
What does TISAX cost® Certification?

Which TISAX® Assessment levels exist?
As the level increases, the requirements for the protection of your information security increase. These test results have little significance and do not constitute a valid TISAX® label. Therefore, most manufacturers require at least the assessment Level 2.

How do I get a TISAX® label?
After successfully completing Assessment Level 2 or 3, you will receive a label summarizing your assessment results. The label, along with information about your assessment, will be available for authorized OEMs in the ENX portal. How long is the TISAX® Label valid?

How long does it take to prepare for TISAX® Audit?

The exam or audit should only be conducted once you have met the TISAX® requirements from the VDA-ISA questionnaire. Otherwise, you will fail the audit and will not receive a certificate. There is a risk that you will have to take a re-examination, which in turn will involve additional costs.

What role does ISO 27001 play in TISAX® Assessment?
An already established and certified ISMS (Iinformationssecuritymanagementssystem) according to ISO 27001 is not a prerequisite for the TISAX® Assessment. For the assessment, you only need to demonstrate that you work with an information security management system and that the corresponding processes and procedures are implemented within your company. However, an existing ISO 27001 certification will provide you with a good basis for the TISAX® offer certification.
